Mark Norman Prosecution

RCMP and Canada’s Crown prosecutors alleged Vice-Admiral Norman leaked confidential cabinet information relating to a shipbuilding contract. He pleaded not-guilty, and his lawyers spent months fighting the Crown and government who were blocking access to documents that were needed for a fair trial. His charge was eventually stayed. In total, the government wasted over one million dollars in legal fees.
