Skating Rink

The Liberal government charged taxpayers $8 million to build a skating rink on Parliament Hill for only three months, just minutes away from the Rideau canal where Canadians can skate with their families for free. The Liberals justified the expense by claiming that the rink would ultimately be “donated” to a community in need. We later learned that only the boards were donated, not the bleachers, ice-making equipment, Zamboni, ticket box – not even the board’s plastic protective sheets.
